The goal of the Endocrinology & Metabolism Board Review (Cleveland Clinic, 18.5 credit hours) is to provide participants with an intensive review of endocrinology and metabolism, which will also be helpful for certification. The program is heavily weighted to board simulation. After viewing the course, you will be able to: describe diabetes control and complications; interpret tests for hypo- and hyperadrenalism; analyze thyroid tests; review evaluation and treatment of osteoporosis and calcium disorders; appraise patients with hypogonadism and pituitary disorders; diagnose important pediatric endocrine disorders; evaluate endocrine disorders during pregnancy; identify genetic disorders in endocrinology; and undertake board simulation question and answers.
Diabetic Foot Update: A Multidisciplinary Approach (University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Medicine, 17.25 credit hours) will prepare you to explain the cause of diabetic foot ulcers and significant advances in treatment; assess the use of pharmacologic agents and local treatments in the care of problem foot wounds; discuss the evaluation and treatment of Charcot foot; explore new non-surgical and surgical options emerging in treatment of problem foot wounds due to diabetic complications; and assess creative surgical, non-surgical, and local therapies for limb salvage.

After completing the Insulin Simulation Instructional System (ISIS) program, you will be better able to start and adjust insulin programs for a variety of patient types. You will be evaluating a group of simulated patients and ordering and scheduling the appropriate insulin to stabilize their condition.  Each time you order insulin ISIS will calculate the new blood glucose levels and will update the patient’s logbook accordingly. The patients will also communicate with you describing their progress. You will continue to treat the patients until you have effectively stabilized them. Along the way ISIS will give you expert help and opinions which will guide you in your task.
